Worcester pizza takeaway hits 1,000 community donations

CARING staff at the Worcester branch of Fireaway have donated 1,000 pizzas back to the community, services and people in need.

The Angel Street venue opened in the summer and attracted such a turnout for the grand opening it ran out of dough.

The team were proud to have hit such a milestone number of pizzas.

Harry Singh, the owner of the Worcester branch, said: “It’s an important part of my faith to give back. It’s always been an important part of my life.”




Fireaway opened its first outlet in 2016 and the brand has enjoyed exponential growth ever since with almost 130 stores across the UK and the Netherlands.

A Fireaway spokesman said: “It has been extremely sad to see the rise in vulnerable individuals struggling in today’s economy.


“The team undertake regular homeless runs is very excited to announce a new weekly service on Monday’s for the vulnerable for a free meal on the team.

“It was also important for us to give back to the local services who are such a vital part of the community.”
