A CHARITY fund-raiser at a Malvern restaurant raised a total of £700 for Help for Heroes.
Staff at The Everest in Malvern opened the doors of the restaurant to 58 diners who sampled the delights of poppadums, a mixed platter starter, chicken house curry, rice, naans and vegetable side dishes.
After a quick meet and greet at the door, the charity’s team leader Neil Roberts welcomed diners who enjoyed a game of heads and tails to kick off the fund-raising before dinner was served.
With cash from the raffle and the £5 contribution from the ticket price, the evening exceeded expectations and saw £700 raised.
“I would like to thank all my friends and family who continue to support me in my fund-raising events and for supporting the charity. I rely on your goodwill more and more,” Mr Roberts said.
“Thanks to Raj and the team at The Everest who kindly allowed this event to be held,” he added.
