Birthday treat for comedy fans

THE STAR of Radio 4’s Relativity, Richard Herring gets to the half century in his new show coming to Huntingdon Hall this March.

Oh ****, I’m 50 sees Herring look at how his life has changed in the last decade, from irresponsible, single kidult, literally fighting his way through a mid-life crisis, to married father who is mid-way to the telegram from the Queen, though given she will be 140 in 2067, she might forget to send it.

Richard has enjoyed phenomenal success as a writer and performer and is an innovator in the world of podcasts. As one half of the comedy duo Lee and Herring, Richard wrote and performed in shows such as Lionel Nimrod’s Inexplicable World, Fist of Fun and This Morning with Richard Not Judy.

With Al Murray, Richard devised and wrote 37 episodes of the sitcom Time Gentlemen Please for Al’s alter ego The Pub Landlord.

Persistently placing in the Top 10 UK Comedy Podcast chart, Richard Herring’s Leicester Square Theatre Podcast sees him interview top comedians in front of a live audience and is then released online both as videos and podcasts for free.

Following on from Oh ****, I’m 40!, this is the second instalment in Herring’s once-a-decade examination of ageing, and it’s coming to Worcester next Thursday, March 15.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £17.50.
