Get it on with glam rock band

Worcester Editorial 5th Dec, 2017   0

AN ACCLAIMED tribute to one of the most iconic English glam rock bands is heading to Worcester to showcase the very best of 1970s rock’n’roll.

Renowned tribute band T.Rextasy will be putting the ‘Rexmas’ into Christmas at their much anticipated concert at Huntingdon Hall this Saturday.

With a career spanning more than 20 years, T.Rextasy are the world’s only officially endorsed live tribute band dedicated to singer-songwriter and guitarist Marc Bolan, and T.Rex.

Paying homage to Bolan’s biggest hits, including ‘Ride a White Swan’, ‘Telegram Sam’, ‘Hot Love’, ‘20th Century Boy’, ‘Metal Guru’, ‘Children of the Revolution’ and, of course, ‘Get it On’, the band plays totally live, recreating the music, performance and excitement of those heady and outrageous glam rock times.

From 1970 to 1973, T. Rex encountered a popularity in the UK comparable to that of the Beatles, with a run of 11 singles in the UK top ten.

The band’s 1971 album Electric Warrior received critical acclaim as a pioneering glam rock album and reached number one in the UK.

Bill Legend, the iconic band’s original drummer, said: “T.Rextasy are the closest you’re ever going to get to the real thing.”

So come along to this unforgettable evening which will leave you entertained and wanting more.

The event starts at 8pm and tickets cost £18.50
