WORCESTER Cavaliers suffered a 42-7 humbling to Leicester Tigers in the Premiership Rugby A League at Welford Road last night (Sunday).
The hosts took the lead in the third minute when Jordan Olowofela teed up Tom Brady to score under the posts, before Fred Tuilagi crossed to stretch Tigers’ advantage.
Entering the second half 14-0 down, Warriors fought back when Darren Barry powered his way over to make it a one score game, following Sam Olver’s resulting conversion.
But the hosts stepped up a gear late on as Harry Mahoney raced through a gap to extend Leicester’s lead, before Henri Lavin grounded.
Mahoney scored his second soon after when he shook off defenders to stretch over on the right wing, before Cameron Jordan crashed over at the death.
