WORCESTERSHIRE clinched their fifth promotion in 11 years under Director Of Cricket Steve Rhodes with victory over Durham.
Having already guaranteed their return to the top flight on day three of the clash, the Pears sealed the title with a 137 victory over the troubled North-East side.
The New Road side secured nine victories in 14 games and only suffered two defeats in the four day game in 2017.
Durham joined a list of home victories which included the scalps of Northamptonshire, Kent, Gloucestershire and Leicestershire.
Away wins were chalked up against Glamorgan, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.
As well as an all-round team effort, Pears opener Daryl Mitchell was the second highest run-scorer in Division Two with 1,266 runs at an average of 55.04.
Skipper Joe Leach topped the wicket charts with 69 scalps and led from the front as the Pears ensured Division One cricket at New Road next season.
