Pears CEO Scott to stand down at end of year

WORCESTERSHIRE CCC have confirmed Chief Executive Tom Scott will leave the club at the end of the year.

No reason has been given for the 57-year-old former Nunnery Wood Secondary School pupil’s resignation but the New Road outfit have confirmed a replacement will be appointed.

The move comes just over a year after the businessman was confirmed as the permanent replacement to David Leatherdale who took on a similar role with the Professional Cricketers Association.

Speaking after he was appointed last summer, Scott vowed to make Worcestershire CCC a success ‘on and off the field’

Further development of New Road to breathe new life into the historic ground was also high on his wishlist after he was confirmed in the role.

“I was born and raised in Worcester, I’m a life-long supporter and feel passionate about Worcestershire County Cricket Club and cricket in Worcestershire,” he said after his appointment.
