THREE men from Worcester have been released on police bail after a teenage girl was allegedly raped in the car park of Worcestershire County Council’s headquarters.

The alleged incident happened in the car park at County Hall, off Spetchley Road, on Tuesday, December 27 last year.

Two 18-year-old teenagers and a 27-year-old man  were arrested yesterday morning (Wednesday) on suspicion of rape, arranging and facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child and conspiracy to supply class B drugs.

All three men have been released on police bail until Wednesday, March 22.

Det Sgt Jim Hopkins of West Mercia Police said: “I would like to reassure the community that incidents like this are rare in Worcester.

“We treat all reports of sexual offences seriously and I would like to reassure the victims of all such crimes that we will thoroughly investigate all reports.”

“Officers from the Child Sexual Exploitation team are continuing to provide support for the victim as investigations continue.”
