WORCESTER Warriors will face Bristol, Wasps, Harlequins and Cardiff Blues in the 2016/17 Anglo-Welsh Cup.
Returning after a year’s absence due to the 2015 Rugby World Cup calendar, the popular competition has thrown up a mouth-watering start for head coach Carl Hogg’s men, as they renew their rivalry with newly-promoted Bristol at Sixways on Friday, November 4.
The club will then make the short trip to the Ricoh Arena on Sunday, November 13 to face Wasps, before hosting Harlequins on Saturday, January 28. Finally, the Sixways outfit will cross the border to take on Cardiff Blues at the BT Sport Arms Park on Saturday, February 4.
Hogg said: “The Anglo-Welsh Cup provides a fantastic opportunity for some of our younger players to flourish on the big stage.
“We have a really talented bunch of youngsters and playing against sides of the calibre of Bristol, Wasps, Harlequins and Cardiff will be ideal tests in their development.”
