A PLAY based in the 1920s post First World War London will be performed at The Swan Theatre.

Dyad Productions will be presenting an adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s compelling story, Mrs Dalloway, on Saturday (April 18) at 7.30pm.

The performance shows the different sides of the aftermath of the First World War with Clarissa Dalloway preparing a party in Westminster while Septimus Smith is diagnosed with shell-shock.

It’s directed by Elton Townend, known for The Diaries of Adam and Eve and stars Rebecca Vaughan, known for Austen’s Women.

The British Theatre Guide Said: “Intelligently adapted, beautifully performed… Dalloway is entrancing.”

The Edinburgh Guide said: “Richly re-imagined, exquisitely evocative stage adaptation, portrayed with heart breaking poignancy and passion.”

Tickets costs £14 and can be bought at the box office in Huntingdon Hall, calling 01905 611427 or visiting www. theswantheatre.co.uk.
