EXPERIENCED Scotland international Euan Murray has been released by Worcester Warriors.

The 33-year-old, who was the highest earner at the club, has been a key figure for Warriors since he arrived at Sixways in January 2013.

But as Worcester look ahead to life in the Championship next season, director of rugby Dean Ryan has decided to let Murray go.

Fellow tight-head prop Jon Andress has also left the club along with Dean Schofield, Chris Jones and Paul Hodgson, whose contracts all ran out at the end of the season.

The club have also revealed Jeremy Becasseau will return to Stade Francais, while Chris Brooker will join up with Warriors teammate Dave Lemi at Bristol next season.

Other departures, which have already been confirmed, include number eight Semisi Taulava (Newcastle Falcons), hooker Ed Shervington (London Wasps), lock Mariano Galarza (Gloucester) and centre Josh Matavesi (Ospreys).

Ryan said: “I would like to place on record my thanks to the departing players for their efforts during their time at Sixways and wish them well for the future.”
