WORCESTER City’s home game against Barrow scheduled to take place tomorrow (Saturday) has been postponed.
The two in-form sides in the Skrill Conference North were set to meet at Aggborough but a pitch inspection at 3.30pm today (Friday) confirmed the pitch was waterlogged and the encounter was subsequently postponed.
It was a game City manager Carl Heeley was looking forward to, as both sides have turned their fortunes around following a poor start to the season.
Since Boxing Day, Barrow have won eight of their ten games – drawing the other two – and the Blue and Whites have won five of their last six.
The continuous rain continues to cause havoc to Worcester’s fixture congestion, with this postponement the latest of a long list, which will see a jam-packed end to City’s season.
