WORCESTER Wolves pair Alex Owumi and Will Creekmore have been named in the BBL Team of the Week after helping the club maintain their prefect start to the season.
Owumi and Creekmore enjoyed more success on court as Wolves sailed through to the BBL Cup second round on Friday and then less than 48 hours later clinched their fifth straight league win of the season with a 100-59 victory over the Birmingham Knights. The win kept them top of the table with maximum points on the board.
Owumi grabbed 23 points in Friday’s 88-66 cup victory over the Manchester Giants and Creekmore continued his impressive first season in British basketball by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds in the same game.
Wolves’ new man Andreas Schreiber, signed last week following his release from the Plymouth Raiders, made it onto the subs bench of the weekly team after an impressive first two outings for the club.
Wolves will be hoping to secure their sixth league win on the bounce when they face second-placed Newcastle Eagles away from home on Friday night (October 25).
