WORCESTER City captain Ellis Deeney has committed his future to the club by signing a new one-year deal.
Deeney had been linked with a move away from the Blue and Whites in search of full-time football but the midfielder has put pen to paper to remain at Aggborough for the 2015/16 season.
A string of fine performances in the last campaign led to Deeney being named Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season.
Worcester started pre-season training last week, with City’s new recruits being put through their paces under the watchful eye of joint manager Matt Gardiner and coach John Snape.
Gardiner said: “The players have kept up their fitness extremely well and it was a very productive session on a hot evening.”
