FIVE Warriors players have been named in the England under-20s squad ahead of the Six Nations.

Huw Taylor, Jamie Shillcock, Jack Singleton, Sam Smith and Andrew Kitchener were all included in the England squad, which will be looking to retain the Six Nations title and make it five title wins in six years.

The youngsters open their campaign against Scotland in Glasgow on Friday, February 5, before travelling to Italy a week later.

Back-to-back home games against Ireland and Wales follow at Kingston Park, Newcastle, and Bristol’s Ashton Gate respectively, before England end their campaign with a trip to France.

Warriors back row Taylor also played for England at under-18 level.

“It’s great to be apart of the England squad again and I can’t wait for the tournament to begin,” said the 19-year old.

“Credit to the other four lads who have made the team. It’s good to be recognised and see all the hard work pay off.”

Jon Callard will lead the campaign as interim England head coach, after Ian Peel moved on to join the Saracens coaching team and to assist the England senior team as scrum coach for the 2016 RBS 6 Nations.

“The mission for this group is to make other people shine,” said Callard.

“It’s about players being individually the best they can be and making the others the best they want to be. This comes from having a strong work ethic and a team focus.

“We want to put the right processes in place to play exciting international rugby and to develop these aspiring international players for the future senior team,” he added.

The under 20s’ Six Nations matches mirror the seniors, but with games taking place on the Friday night of each weekend.

The home games against Ireland and Wales will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
