MATCH SUMMARY: Worcester Warriors claimed a fiercely competitive local derby thanks to two tries from Charlie Mulchrone.




The scrum-half scored either side of the half time interval to dash Moseley’s hopes of an upset at Sixways. But the Birmingham outfit made it difficult for their opponents as they fought hard throughout and were rewarded with a try from Scott Tomlie late on. Thanks for following.

 54min – Moseley are continuing to frustrate their opponents as Warriors try to add to their tally. Worcester are currently camped in Moseley’s 22.

More on try – Following a huge scrum from Warriors’ forwards, Mulchrone picked the ball up inside Worcester’s half before darting through a gap to score.

HALF TIME SUMMARY: A try from Charlie Mulchrone and two penalties from Ignacio Mieres give Worcester Warriors an 11-0 lead at the break. But it has been nothing but easy for Dean Ryan’s men as Moseley have dealt with pretty much whatever has been thrown at them, while Worcester have made a host of mistakes.

40min – Warriors power forward, with Christian Scotland Williamson and Matt Cox picking and going, but Moseley survive as Tom Biggs finds Moseley hands.

38min – An impressive clearance kick from flanker Matt Cox clears the danger for Worcester as Moseley search for a response in the closing stages of the half.

More on try – After a huge kick from Mieres, Warriors claimed the resultant line-out with five metres to go.  Play was then recycled and scrum half Charlie Mulchrone dashed over the whitewash.

21min – Warriors struggling to string passes together at the moment as Matt Cox failed to find a man before Niall Annett fumbled.

17min – YELLOW CARD – Tom Biggs gets sent to the bin after referee Tim Wigglesworth saw a deliberate knock-on from the Worcester wing.

16min – Moseley defending valiantly at the moment as they get through another Worcester barrage, with GJ Van Velze and Ryan Bower being stopped short of the line before the hosts are penalised.

14min – PENALTY MISSED – Worcester Warriors 3-0 Moseley – Another opportunity missed by Moseley as Thomas goes wide with his penalty attempt after solid scrummaging from the Birmingham side.

10min – Warriors looking in determined mood to get their first try on the board as they move the ball from right to left. Moseley, though, are equal to it in the early stages as they force an error from Mieres and the visitors clear.
