Experienced Huffor joins wolfpack

EXPERIENCED guard-forward Danny Huffor is the fourth player to join the new-look Worcester Wolves wolfpack ahead of the new British Basketball League (BBL) campaign.

The 6ft 4in UK/US dual passport holder joins the University of Worcester Arena outfit with a wealth of BBL experience, having averaged 12.4 points per game with Glasgow Rocks in the 2014/15 campaign and 16.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game with Cheshire Phoenix last season.

He also plated for Durham Wildcats.

Hoffor, who is a graduate of NCAA Division II School Newberry College in South Carolina, ironically claimed his best figures last season against Wolves, when he scored 38 points and took 15 rebounds for Phoenix.

Huffor said: “I’m happy to be with Wolves and very excited for the new season. I’m all set to go and win and ready to lead Worcester to silverware.”

Head coach Paul James said: “Danny is a very talented and versatile player and there are so many strengths he will bring to Wolves at both ends of the floor.

“He’s shown over the years his work ethic has been a significant factor with all of the teams he’s represented in the BBL. Significantly, his experience in this league will be hugely beneficial to the rest of the team.

“We’re really pleased with the pieces of the jigsaw that are being put in place for next season and we’re getting closer to further announcements.”

The signing of Huffor comes off the back of Marek Klassen, Trevor Setty and Deondre McWhorter joining the club last week.
