A YOUNG woman was left highly shaken after she was sexually assaulted in a city centre attack.

The victim, from Worcester, was walking on Bath Road, near the Commandery, about 2am on Saturday, August 9.

A man engaged with her by using sexually inappropriate language before he assaulted the 22-year-old and exposed himself to her. He then ran away in the direction of the city centre.

Police have described the suspect as 45 to 55, slim build, about 5ft 9ins, very short grey hair, wearing blue denim jeans, a buttoned blue or grey shirt and spoke with a local accent.

PC Howard Fletcher said: “This is an extremely serious incident which has left the victim highly shaken and as such we are very keen to gain information which may aid us in finding the suspect.”

Anyone with further information on the incident can contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or by calling Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
