Teenager hit by car suffered 'serious' head injury

A TEENAGER has suffered from a ‘serious’ head injury after being hit by a car in St Johns.

The 18-year-old woman was hit by a grey Skoda Fabia on the junction of Bransford Road and the High Street at about 8pm yesterday (Thursday).

Three rapid response vehicles driven by critical care practitioners, a paramedic and a paramedic area support officer attended the scene along with an ambulance crew.

The teenager was then taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham after suffering from serious head injuries.




Police are now urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information which could help with their investigation to call them on 101 quoting incident number 649s of 4 February.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The woman who is in her late teens had a serious head injury.


“She was treated by crews at the scene before being taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.”
