A WORCESTER pub is holding a special party to raise money for a charity close to their hearts.

Inspired by summer festivals, the free Party in the Carpark on Sunday (August 28) at The Talbot will have a bouncy castle, barbecue, children’s DJ and more.

Staff at the popular pub on The Tything will be raising money for leukaemia, with the proceeds going to Macmillan, a cause close to their hearts.

General manager, Joe Bishop, said: “We are hoping to raise as much as we can for such a worthy cause. This cause is close to everyone at The Talbot, but especially our deputy manager, Charlie, whose sister has been fighting the disease.”

The family event, from noon to 5pm, will also have donkey rides, garden games and even Peppa Pig.

“We also have a raffle where people can win amazing prizes. It is just a bit of fun and is free, so come along and have a good time,” added Joe.

The Party in the Carpark will run from 12pm to 5pm.
