A PENSIONER has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for historic sexual offences.
Walter Payne, from Selby, North Yorkshire appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Friday (May 20) where he pleaded guilty to three indecent assaults and four rape offences against an 11-year-old girl and indecently assaulting another 11-year old girl.
The 67-year-old, formerly from Worcester, committed the offences between 1991 and 1996.
Payne will serve 12 years, with a further six years on licence, he will be also subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order until further order and has to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life.
