Olympic theme to the fun day at Snoezelen

CITY residents are being invited to celebrate Great Britain’s Golden summer at the Rio Olympics with a fun day at Cob House.

Worcester Snoezelen is organising the event at the venue on Worcester Road in Wichenford on Saturday (August 27) from 11am to 4pm and families are invited along to tackle sports activities for children and adults of all abilities.

As well as the sports games there will be more activities to enjoy including a bouncy castle, sensory tent, soft play, face painting, a raffle, live music, toys and so much more.

Visitors to the Summer Fun Day can also explore the extensive site by taking a stroll along the many footpaths, wildflower meadow and the parkland which contains the timber trail play area, wildlife pool, reindeer, alpacas, pigs, goats, Chickens and ducks.




Chloe French of Worcester Snoezelen said: “This will be a great day out for children and adults of all abilities to come and have fun alongside their family, siblings and friends, everyone is welcome”

“We’d like to give special thanks to those who have made this day possible including B&Q, the University of Worcester, Cob House, Co-Op, Rock Lobster, The Entertainer and Malvern Spa,” she added.


Based in St John’s, the independent charity, Worcester Snoezelen offers multi-sensory and creative activities for people of all ages across the West Midlands who have a diverse range of needs.

Entry to the Fun Day is free and Worcester Snoezelen is suggesting a £2 donation to take part in the sports games.

The money raised will go towards the continuation and expansion of delivering sports activities to those with disabilities in Worcester and the surrounding counties.
