THE DEATH of man whose body was found in a canal in Worcester is being treated as unexplained.

A post-mortem is scheduled to be carried out today (Wednesday) to determine how the un-named man died.

West Mercia Police received a call from a member of the public at 7.30am yesterday (Tuesday) who claimed they had seen a body in the canal in Spring Lane.

Police confirmed the body of a man was found and have appealed to the public for more information.




Anyone who has information about any suspicious activity in Spring Lane is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident 79s of Tuesday, March 7.
