ALL LIBRARIES throughout the city will close their doors for Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The opening and closing times for the festive season have been released and all city libraries, including The Hive, will close at 1pm on Wednesday, December 24, and remain shut for the following two days.

Libraries, apart from The Hive, will then also be closed all day on Sunday, December 28. The Hive will be opened from 8.30am to 7pm on December 28, December 29, December 30 and December 31.

On New Year’s Eve all libraries normally open will shut at 3pm. They will all be shut on New Year’s Day.

From Friday, January 2, libraries will be re-opened.

Coun Lucy Hodgson said: “We would like to wish all of our library customers a happy festive season and remind everyone that if you are a member of Worcestershire’s libraries even when the libraries are closed you can still get access to eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines and your account 24/7 on your laptop, tablet or other mobile device, and it’s free.”
