A CELEBRATION of the Muslim festival of Eid saw Worcester Mayor Coun Paul Denham among the guests.
Together with the Mayoress Coun Lynn Denham, the Mayor visited the Horizon Centre on Midland Road for the event organised by Worcester Community Trust
More than 100 people turned out for the occasion, including many families with children, and Coun Denham was delighted with the celebrations.
“At a time when there are so many stories of ethnic minority people being abused, this party was a great example of communities working together,” he said.
“It is marvellous when people in Worcester can reach out and together celebrate their different traditions.”
