THE OWNERS of a toy shop in Worcester tasted success after its eye-catching window display caused a stir in the city centre.

Worcester BID named Wise Owl Toys as the winner of the Best Dressed Window competition at last week’s Chocolate Day.

The Charles Street business, which recently gained a perfect score from a mystery shopper, scooped top prize for its chocolate-themed display.

Heather Stewart, who runs the shop with her husband Mark, said: “We were really pleased to win the competition as our colleague Angela Shouler always does such a good job of making our windows look attractive”

Adrian Field, head of Worcester BID, added: “The standard as usual was very high. Wise Owl Toys used their products wonderfully well to encapsulate the chocolate theme and produce a very professional display.”

Meanwhile, Joshua Hadlington, Aiysha Ali, Jake Terry, Matilda Cook, Freddie Snape and Summer Witts-Dean won the Kids’ Chocolate Trail, while George Aston received top marks in the Colour in the Egg competition and Cameron Weir came first in the u13 category in the Chocolate Egg and Spoon Race.
