A CREATIVE Kempsey youngster has won Worcester Tourist Information Centre’s (TIC) annual colouring competition.

Seven-year-old Edward Chapman, scooped the prize ahead of more than 30 children for his decorated pictures of sweets and confectionery, at the city’s popular ‘Foodie Festival’.

He won a summer holiday goody bag full of games and a bucket and spade.

The recent Foodie Festival saw large crowds fill Worcester’s streets to explore more than 70 stalls offering locally produced cider, honey, chocolate, bread and cheese.

Ruth Smith, manager at Worcester TIC, said: “The Foodie Festival was a brilliant weekend and it was great to see the city filled with visitors.

“Not only was the shop busy all day, but we received very positive feedback about the festival. Edward’s colouring displayed neatness and imagination. It was a very good effort, well done.”
