Charity gets fruits of fun day

A WORCESTER care home enjoyed a fruity Friday to raise money for cancer research and prevention.

Staff and residents at Regent Residential Care Home, in St John’s, dressed in their brightest colours on Friday (May 15), while enjoying a variety of fruits and home-made juices.

They donated £1 each to the World Cancer Research Fund UK’s annual fund-raising drive that works towards cancer prevention and raise awareness of the nutritional benefit of a healthy diet.

Care home manager Jemma Robinson said: “The team and residents at our Sanctuary Care home are very health conscious so we thought what better way to support a cause close to all our hearts than by enjoying a fruity Friday.”
