A LEADING Worcester children’s charity is on the search for 200 cyclists to get on their bikes to help raise vital funds this summer.
Acorns Children’s Hospice is appealing for the community to take part in the annual Severn Valley Cycle Challenge on Saturday, August 21, to raise funds to help care for life-limited and life-threatened children.
Starting in Bridgnorth, cyclists have the choice of a 40 mile or 20 mile route featuring scenic hill climbs and both races will end in Bewdley, where riders will have the option to enjoy a leisurely trip back on the Severn Valley Railway.
All participants will receive a free T-shirt and medal.
Mandie Fitzgerald, community fund-raising manager at Acorns said: “This event is ideal for cyclists who want to tackle one of the region’s most scenic routes with a world famous train journey finish.”
