All the songs and stories of T’Pau

T’PAU became one of the most successful and biggest selling pop bands of the 1980s with huge hits like China In Your Hand, Heart and Soul and Valentine.

Led by flame-haired singer Carol Decker, their debut album Bridge Of Spies became a quadruple platinum number one hit and earned them five BRIT Award nominations.

With Decker’s powerful voice and effortlessly cool personality, combined with brilliantly infectious songwriting, T’Pau has all the components for a fantastic pop package that still works today.

After a brief hiatus, T’Pau reformed in 1998 and have been in high demand ever since.

They released an album in February 2015 called Pleasure and Pain and embarked on a tour with stars Go West and Nikki Kershaw.

Fans can flock to Huntingdon Hall this weekend for the latest stop of the bands ‘Songs and Stories’ tour for an evening of their biggest hits, as well as the stories behind them.

Coinciding with the publication of Carol Decker’s autobiography, Heart And Soul – The Autobiography, Decker will tell stories from the book as she introduces some of the band’s biggest hits.

In Heart And Soul – The Autobiography, Carol lifts the lid for the first time on the highs and the lows, the make-ups and the break-ups.

With never-before-told tales from backstage and on the road, she recounts how she went from the sleepy backwater of Shrewsbury – where it all began – to number one around the world.

It’s the book that fans have clamoured for and features rare photographs of Carol and her band.

Fans wanting to get their hands on a copy won’t be disappointed, as Decker will be on hand to meet fans and sign copies of the book, as well as CDs, after the show.

T’Pau – Songs and Stories (plus support) will be at Huntingdon Hall on Saturday (March 19) at 8pm.

Tickets are £18 and available from the Box Office on 01905 611427 or online at www.huntingdonhall.co.uk
