DAREDEVIL Helle Nice was a Fast Woman in every sense: in life, in love and in motor-racing.
Directed by Richard Stone, Fast Woman by Stewart Howson comes to the Swan Theatre on Saturday, August 13 at 7.30pm.
Roaring through the 1920s, she danced her way to notoriety at the Casino de Paris and posed nude for Parisian photographers!
Helle risked her life many times in adventures as diverse as high wire acts, mountaineering and speed record attempts.
Sandra Hunt tells the story of Helle Nice, bringing to life the myriad of characters that peopled Helle’s world.
Fine Time Fontayne accompanies on acoustic guitar, adding sound pictures with folk songs and hot gypsy jazz, evoking a sense of France between the wars.
Tickets are £12.50 at the Box Office. Call 01905 611427 for more information.
