A beauty of a panto at Swan

IT IS panto time again at the Swan Theatre in Worcester! Oh yes it is!

Add some sparkle and magic to Christmas as this year’s pantomime tells the classic tale of Beauty and The Beast.

Starring everyone’s favourite Dame Ben Humphrey as Dame Do Do and the delightful Natalie Cawley as Belle, the Swan welcomes newcomer Jonny Muir to the stage to take the role of the Prince and Beast.

Jonny trained at the Royal Academy of Music Musical Theatre School and has had a wealth of experience in theatre and dance.

The tale of Beauty and the Beast follows the adventures of the delightful Belle and her hapless father, whose lives become intertwined with that of the Beast, formerly a sneary Prince who has had a spell cast over him by the wicked Fairy Delores (Liz Grand).

She will only release him from the spell if he can make someone fall in love with him before the last petal falls from a symbolic red rose. Count down with Belle and her friends as the petals fall one by one – will the Beast find love before the spell becomes irreversible?

Or is Prince gone forever and the beast doomed to loneliness and misery for the rest of his days?

Top quality singing, dancing and comedy alongside the usual panto banter and audience participation this is the perfect start to family Christmas.

The Worcester Rep prides itself on its offering of good clean fun for all the family, with jokes that appeal to all making it suitable for all generations.

The show starts on Monday, December 1 and runs until Sunday, January 4, 2015.

Tickets start at £10.75 which means a family of four costs less than £50.
