THIEVES made off with a sports car after breaking into a house and stealing the keys.
COUNCIL bosses have apologised after hundreds of motorists were caught in long tailbacks because of traffic surveys taking place.
There were reports of gridlock on the A4440 southern link road during the morning rush hour and major congestion on other key routes in the city centre at the same time Worcestershire County Council was carrying out a 12-hour survey.
It involved pulling over one in five drivers on a number of roads across Worcester, but had to be temporarily suspended because of the severe delays.
The surveys are due to run until 7pm tonight (Wednesday).
