Maisie steps in to save the day

A ‘CALM and caring’ toddler has been described as a little Florence Nightingale after coming to her grandmother’s rescue when she collapsed at home.

Gaynor Tomlin was babysitting her two-year-old granddaughter, Maisie, at her Henwick Road house, while her mother went to the shops.

But when the 59-year-old went to pick her up, her recently replaced hip came out of place and she slumped to the bathroom floor in agony.

When she saw how much pain her ‘nanny’ was in, little Maisie went and found clothes to put over her grandma to keep her warm and then returned to find her mobile phone.
